Scappoose Creek Inn is a bed and breakfast which is housed in two beautifully restored farmhouses and dairy barn with a tree lined drive on 4 acres. The beauty and tranquility provides an oasis for any romantic or personal retreat. During Prohibition, the barn was the setting for one of the largest "busts" in Columbia County for its massive still. Producing and selling "bootleg" liquor was a profitable business at that time. It is now an event hall that can host up to 150 people for ceremonies, receptions, high school & family reunions, conferences, art shows, and craft & wellness retreats. The restaurant here on the property is available for catered anniversary parties, rehearsal or special birthday dinners, baby & bridal showers. And of course, our 10 rooms and cottage are available if you just want to relax and watch the antics of the chickens & llamas! Scappoose is the gateway to Columbia County and Scappoose Creek Inn is the perfect base from which to explore all that the county has to offer, from kayaking and bicycling, to geocaching and tastings at our local microbrewery and distillery. Or for those who are less adventurous, you can browse the antique shops or discover the Twilight walking tour.

Drink tea under a canopy of beautiful shade trees or take a nap in the hammock. Take a stroll around the property and feed our llamas Tiki and Sultane. Watch the capers of the chickens or sit under the old apple tree and read a book. Watch out for our guard dogs Allie and Gracie because they will greet you with barks and kisses.
Each of our eleven guest rooms (all with private baths) are unique and emanate country charm. Historic yet up to date, all rooms are air conditioned and equipped with clock radios, TV, and high-speed wireless internet access. Some rooms also have electric fireplaces, whirlpool tubs for two and DVD players. Your home away from home.
